A Message from Mari-Beth O'Neill
The response for this years AKC/Eukanuba Invitational, is over whelming! 105 Juniors have met both the wins and the grade point average criteria. This year's event will be two days. The preliminary classes will be judged on Saturday and the finals will be on Sunday. The annual luncheon sponsored by the AKC Gazette will be held on Saturday; additional information will be mailed to those participating.

We are also thrilled that there will be eight Juniors competing in the AKC National Agility Championship with ten dogs. (See list.)

We are very appreciative of the articles submitted by current Juniors participating in different AKC events and from those who are current AKC Junior Scholarship recipients. They speak for themselves covering the vast interests and involvement Juniors have in all aspects of purebred dogs. Please remember if you are participating in a Companion Event or Performance event to have the Junior Recognition Form signed by the judge. The form is then sent in with the event results, which allows us to link you with your dog. We feel there are many juniors competing in events that are not getting these forms signed to allow us to acknowledge you of your success.

We would like to remind you that if you moved or your address has changed it is necessary to change your address in the AKC records. This may be done by contacting us at or 919-816-3776.

Best wishes for a happy, healthy, holiday season and New Year!
