National Champion Australian Shepherd "Reckon" Honored with Governor's Commendation
February 2011

New Hampshire’s top dog, Ch. Propwash Reckon ("Reckon"), received an official commendation from New Hampshire Governor John Lynch on January 17 congratulating him and owners Leslie Frank and Judy Harrington for his Best In Show win at the 2010 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship.

Governor Lynch presented the commendation to Reckon at a press conference held at the Legislative Office Building in Concord, NH. Representatives from New Hampshire’s Environment & Agriculture Committee, Dog Owners of the Granite State and the American Kennel Club joined Governor Lynch in honoring Frank, the dog’s breeder and co-owner, for the decades she has dedicated to breeding wonderful family companions and top winners in the show ring.

Reckon defeated nearly 2,500 dogs from 49 states and 40 countries on December 4-5, 2010 in Long Beach, CA to take top honors at the 2010 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship dog show. Frank, an AKC Breeder of Merit, was also the 2010 AKC Breeder of the Year - Herding Group.

“We are very pleased that the State of New Hampshire recognized such a deserving AKC breeder, Leslie Frank. Her lifelong passion of carefully breeding happy, healthy and capable puppies echoes AKC’s mission of promoting responsible breeding and dog ownership,” said AKC Spokesperson Lisa Peterson at the New Hampshire press conference. “Our congratulations go to Reckon as well for a superb performance.”

Dog clubs across the U.S. hosted viewing parties in their hometowns to celebrate the 10th edition of the internationally prestigious dog show.
