The Louisville & Evansville Kennel Clubs along with numerous Specialty shows and this year the Giant Schnauzer, Brussels Griffon and Tibetan Spaniel National Specialties made up this cluster. The location is the Kentucky State Fairgrounds in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition to conformation entries exceeding 13,000 for three days, Obedience and Agility Trials with large entries were conducted.
Many educational seminars were offered for Judges, breeders as well as a special two- day program for Juniors.
On Sunday, the Louisville Kennel Club, offered a Limit Class for Juniors. Juniors were eligible to compete if they had two Open wins with competition between Feb 1, 2003 and Feb. 1, 2004. The wins may have included Specialty Shows and Group Shows as well as All Breed-Shows. Juniors must have been under 18 years of age at the time of the qualifying wins, but age on the day of this show had no bearing. Entries closed at the same time as this cluster. The date and name of the qualifying shows needed to be included on the entry to this competition.
The Kentuckiana Top Junior Handler Competition awarded a $1,000 scholarship to the Top Junior and the three awards of merits each received a $250 scholarship. Each competing Junior received a Special Medallion and Pedigree supported the event with sweatshirts. The preliminary class judges were Junior Showmanship Only Judges, Linda Pitts and William Sahloff with the finals judged by Michael Faulkner.
