All dogs six months of age or older from the following breeds are eligible to participate in Pointing Breed Hunting Tests:

  • German Shorthaired Pointers
  • German Wirehaired Pointers
  • Gordon Setters

  • Vizslas
  • Weimaraners
  • Wirehaired Pointing Griffons

*Foundation Stock Service Breeds

  • Bracco Italiano (effective 1/1/10)
  • Braque du Bourbonnais (effective 1/1/12)
  • Drentsche Patrijshond (Drent)(effective 1/1/11)
  • French Spaniel (effective 10/1/12)
  • Portuguese Pointer (effective 1/1/08)
  • Small Munsterlander Pointer (effective 7/1/09)
  • Wirehaired Vizsla (effective 1/1/09)
  • German Longhaired Pointer (effective 7/1/11)
  • Stabyhoun (effective 7/1/11)

*may compete for suffix titles only

  • Dogs of these breeds recorded with the Purebred Alternative Listing Program/Indefinite Listing Privilege (PAL/ILP) or dogs with Conditional registration are eligible to participate.
  • Spayed and neutered dogs are eligible to participate.
  • Bitches in season are eligible to participate at the club’s discretion, in accordance with the rules, and must be stated in the premium list.
  • Dogs with Limited Registration are eligible to participate.
