AKC acknowledges the strong relationship with National General Kennel Club (NGKC) and commends their efforts to develop responsible dog ownership and to promote the well-being of dogs throughout China
As The American Kennel Club celebrates its 125th Birthday, we want to acknowledge organizations with which we have strong relationships, such as the National General Kennel Club (NGKC). The AKC only establishes reciprocal registration with kennel clubs from other countries after those kennel clubs demonstrate a long history as a show-giving entity and reputable registry.
Although we do not yet allow reciprocal registration with any kennel club in China, we have a very strong relationship with NGKC. The AKC respects NGKC’s efforts to develop responsible dog ownership and to promote the well-being of dogs throughout China. In addition, NGKC has demonstrated their leadership within the sport of dogs with a quality registry with high integrity and accurate records of show results. NGKC demonstrates their leadership in the sport of dogs by presenting high quality dog shows through a growing number of member clubs that follow NGKC’s high standards. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with NGKC as we develop new and exciting programs and training opportunities in 2010.
