Dr. Tamas Jakkel
Dr. Tamas Jakkel, of Budapest, Hungary, is a member of the FCI General Committee. He has bred English Cocker Spaniels, and smooth, standard, and miniature Dachshunds, since 1972. These include more than 150 international champions and some dozens of World and European winners.
Dr. Jakkel has been president of the Hungarian Spaniel Association for 20 years and president of the Hungarian Kennel Club judges’ board for 10 years. He is past vice president of the FCI Judges’ Commission and past vice president of the FCI European Section.
A judge since 1985, Dr. Jakkel is an FCI all-rounder. He has judged in over 50 countries and on five Continents. His assignments have included the biggest FCI events, and several championship shows in the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States.
