DOGNY: America's Tribute to Search and Rescue Dogs

Petco Foundation Joins With Iams To Sponsor Five DOGNY Sculptures

Wonderful things keep happening for the American Kennel Club's DOGNY project, helping to guarantee that America's Search and Rescue dogs will be able to continue their heroic work.

This time it was The Petco Foundation stepping forward with a donation of $25,000, representing its sponsorship fees for five sculptures shared with the Iams Company.

At the recent Westchester Kennel Club dog show in Tarrytown, NY, Valerie Stern of Iams presented a check from The Petco Foundation to AKC Chairman Ron Menaker and AKC Vice President for Corporate Relations Dennis Sprung.

The presentation took place at the Iams booth at the show, where Iams solicited public donations and support for DOGNY. The statue in the photograph, "I love NY Search and Rescue", had previously been unveiled by Iams in Manhattan (see earlier web site story).

Iams is a major supporter of DOGNY, sponsoring more than 20 sculptures.
